In 2007 alone, there were more than 1,150,000 people employed as security guards in the United States. This field is also expected to grow by at least 20% by the year 2015.

Earnings

All Star Security offers salaries that are a bit better than many of our competitors. Salaries for security guards vary somewhat with location. However, on the average, they are between $18,200 and $29,500 per year, with a few lower and a few higher. In general, armed security guards do earn slightly more than unarmed guards. They also have to meet stricter standards due to the fact that they will carry firearms. For the most part, salaries are generally competitive across our industry.
