All Star Security Guard Training

All Star security guard training is thorough, complete and ongoing. We consider it one of our most vital functions since our security guards are our most important asset. To us, there is never any excuse for an inadequately-trained and ill-prepared guard. We just don’t let it happen.

The training itself begins as soon as a guard candidate has passed all the necessary screening and testing. It includes forty hours of classroom instruction designed specifically to present new guards with every possible situation they might encounter while actually on post at an All Star Security client’s location or facility. The actual instruction is composed of lectures, slide presentations, training videos and study materials followed by a series of examinations to assess how well they absorbed the material and how well they will be able to apply what they learned.

Training supervisors continually assess each security guard’s progress and continue on through his first few post assignments for added on-the-job training. In addition, even seasoned guards with long experience are subject to periodic updating through training in new techniques and the latest technologies and equipment.
